The first-generation C5 Aircross came to market in 2018 and had a thorough facelift in 2022. The Hybrid 136 is the mild-hybrid version: a 1.2 PureTech three-cylinder turbo, 136 hp combined, paired with a 48V starter-generator and a six-speed automatic. WLTP consumption is around 5.7 l/100km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). Citroën positions the C5 Aircross on comfort, with the Progressive Hydraulic Cushions damping system on the higher trim levels.

In practice

Owners on public forums report real-world consumption around 6.5 to 7 l/100km for the mild-hybrid, depending on motorway share and load (not measured by us, different driving profiles). The 580 l boot is large for the segment and the rear bench slides. Braked towing weight is 1,300 kg. Points to note

A fully new C5 Aircross generation is in the pipeline; check at the official dealer which generation goes with the current quote.
