About & accountability
About autoseeker
An independent car-data site for the EU, made and maintained by one person.
Who is behind this
There is no newsroom, and I am not going to pretend there is one. I curate every figure, every rating and the comparison tools myself. Specs come from official datasheets and open registers. Where a number is my estimate rather than a manufacturer’s, it says so on the page.
Why this site exists
Factory figures lean optimistic, and marketplaces are paid to make you click “buy”. This site does neither. The numbers sit next to each other with their source and a reference date, and you make the call. No listings, no sales forms, no “best for you” line dressed up as advice.
Working alone has one real upside: one signature on the data means one address to send a correction to.
How it stays independent
Revenue is ads and commission-based partner links only — no financial products, no loans, no insurance (see transparency). Advertisers see no scores in advance and cannot change a rating. The public methodology explains exactly how every figure is produced.
Responsible publisher
autoseeker is published by Dennis de Kruijf. One maker and owner, for all markets and language versions. The same person is responsible for the content (specs, ratings, guides, review moderation).

Found a figure that is wrong? Tell me
Send it with a source by email. I test the report against the highest available source, per the methodology. Safety-critical fields (towing weight, payload, recall status) are corrected with priority.
Report a harmful or unlawful review
Owner reviews are user-supplied content. If a review contains unlawful, abusive, infringing or person-identifiable content, you can report it. Email contact@autoseeker.eu with:
- the exact URL of the page;
- the relevant passage or quote;
- the reason you consider the content unlawful;
- a way to reach you for the response.
I assess every report, remove or adjust where justified, and report the outcome back with a short explanation. Reviews are moderated before publication (see the review policy). If you disagree with a decision, say so by email; I reconsider.
Liability and indicative use
Specs, prices and category ratings are indicative and traceable to their source with a reference date. They can age or differ per version. I give no tax, financial or buying advice, sell nothing and do not act as an intermediary. For a decision, consult the official source (the manufacturer, the national vehicle registration authority, or your tax office) and, if needed, an independent adviser.
