What owners report online about the Tucson
This is a **summary of public discussions**, not an owner review collected by us. Recurring points: praise for the quiet, smooth hybrid drive in town (especially in EV mode) and the spacious interior; real-world consumption depends strongly on speed — fine in mixed driving, but owners report noticeably higher figures at sustained motorway speeds and in winter; reports of a draining 12V battery on top trims after a few days parked; criticism of the lane-keep assist, which can tug at the wheel near exits. About the Hyundai Tucson hybrid (2024)
Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.
In this version the Tucson sits on a full hybrid drivetrain: a 1.6 T-GDi petrol engine with electric motor and small battery, together around 215 hp system power. The 2024 facelift revised the dashboard and the infotainment. WLTP consumption stands at about 5.6 l/100km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). There is also a plug-in hybrid; this page is about the regular hybrid.
In practice
The boot at 577 l is generous for the segment. Over a whole year, including motorway trips, owners report mixed around 6.4 l/100km (owner forums, n≈18, not measured by us); that is above the WLTP figure, as is usual with hybrids with a large motorway share. The braked towing weight is 1,650 kg. The indicative list price rose from about 40,495 euro (reference date early 2024) to 41,995 euro now, a from-price, no offer and no forecast.
Points to note
The consumption advantage of the full hybrid comes into its own mainly in city and back-road traffic; on the motorway consumption approaches that of a regular petrol version. For those who tow a lot, 1,650 kg braked is generous, but the hybrid drivetrain demands more revs on long climbs. Compare the real-world consumption against your own driving profile.
