About the Lexus UX 300h (2024)

Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.

The UX is Lexus' entry-level SUV, on the Toyota GA-C platform shared with the Corolla and the C-HR. Since the 2023 facelift the hybrid version is called UX 300h with 199 hp system power, up from 184 hp on the previous UX 250h. There is no plug-in version of the UX; the larger NX 450h+ is the plug-in choice in the Lexus line-up. Braked towing weight is 750 kg, enough for a light luggage trailer.

In practice

WLTP is 5.2 l/100km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). Like other Toyota/Lexus full-hybrids the UX shines in and around the city; on the motorway the consumption rises. Owners report around 5.7 l/100km mixed (public forums, n approx 20, not measured by us). The list price rose indicatively from about 43,495 euro (reference date early 2024) to 44,995 euro now; a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.

Points to note

The boot of 320 litres is on the tight side for the class; the rear seat has limited leg room compared with several rivals. The CVT keeps the engine speed high under firm acceleration (recurring owner point). Lexus build quality and dealer service are usually rated highly, but that comes at the price of higher service costs than mainstream brands.
