About the Lexus NX 450h+ (2024)
Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.
The NX 450h+ is the plug-in version of Lexus' compact premium SUV. A 2.5 petrol engine works together with two e-motors; the rear one provides electric four-wheel drive. System output is about 309 hp, the WLTP EV range about 69 km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). The braked towing weight is 1,500 kg, high for a plug-in.
In practice
The WLTP consumption of about 1.1 l/100km applies only with a full battery and a short test cycle; actual consumption depends entirely on how often you charge. With daily charging and short trips you often drive electrically; without charging you drive a heavy premium SUV on petrol, well above the WLTP figure. We therefore give no economy figure: the spread is too large for a traceable number. The indicative list price rose from about 64,995 euro (reference date early 2024) to 67,995 euro now, a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.
Points to note
The starting price is considerably higher than that of the regular NX 350h; work out whether the EV range justifies that difference for your use. With an empty battery the PHEV pack weighs along as ballast. The charging connection is alternating current (no fast charger), a full charge takes several hours at a wallbox.
