Category scores

These are our own numbers, not the manufacturer’s stars. The scale runs from 0 to 100, higher is better, and every figure carries a source with a reference date. Which category weighs more for you is something you know better than we do. How these scores work.

  • Fuel economy 68/100
Fuel economy: 68 of 100. Source and reference date source: WLTP 17.5 kWh/100km (manufacturer figure) vs EV SUV coupe segment, indicative · reference date 2026-05-21

Fast charging at a public charger (10→80%)

Fast charging on the road (DC = the rapid charger you find at motorway stops, not home charging): indicative time from 10 to 80 percent, calculated from the specs — not measured by us. Actual time varies with charger, temperature and battery level at the start. The 10→80% window is the standard benchmark because the final stretch (80→100%) deliberately charges slower to protect the battery.
Charging situation10→80% (minutes)
At the car's own maximum charging rate (280 kW) ~ 20
At a 150 kW charger ~ 36
At a 50 kW charger ~ 109
How is this calculated? We assume around 70% of the battery sits in the 10→80% window and an average power around 62% of peak (the curve tapers towards the end). At a fixed charger the power is capped to that charger. An estimate, not a manufacturer figure.

Charging at home uses AC power and is slower: a home wallbox typically delivers 7.4 to 11 kW. That is separate from the fast-charge times shown above.

Frequently asked

What does the Xpeng G6 cost roughly?

Indicative starting price € 43,990 (reference date 2026-05-21). Not an offer.

What is the WLTP range of the Xpeng G6?

570 km WLTP (manufacturer figure). Owners typically report less in everyday driving, especially in cold weather. See the reviews below.

How long does fast-charging the Xpeng G6 take (10→80%)?

Roughly 20 minutes on a 280 kW charger (10→80%, factory calculation, indicative). Actual time depends on battery temperature and the charging curve — the car's charging speed drops as the battery fills.

How big is the battery in the Xpeng G6?

80.8 kWh usable capacity (manufacturer figure). Check the warranty terms of the specific car for capacity retention.

What does the Xpeng G6 use in real-world driving?

The factory WLTP figure is 17.5 kWh/100 km. Owners typically report more in mixed use, with the usual winter penalty. See the owner experiences below.

About the Xpeng G6 (2024)

Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.

The G6 is Xpeng's mid size electric SUV coupe for EU markets, with deliveries in EU countries starting in 2024 via a growing dealer network in the Netherlands, Germany, France, the Nordics and Belgium. It sits on the Smart Electric Platform Architecture (SEPA) 2.0 with an 800 V electrical system. The Long Range RWD variant has an 80.8 kWh LFP pack, 292 hp on the rear axle and WLTP range 570 km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). DC charging peaks at around 280 kW; manufacturer-claimed 10 to 80 percent in roughly 20 minutes on a sufficiently powerful charger.

In practice

WLTP consumption is around 17.5 kWh/100km (manufacturer figure). Owner reports are still limited in EU markets; first independent tests place real world figures in the high teens, with motorway and winter driving pushing higher (small sample, not measured by us). The boot takes 571 l with the rear seats up, expanding to 1,374 l folded. Braked towing weight is up to 1,500 kg for some specifications; check the official spec sheet for confirmation per market.

Points to note

The G6 uses Xpeng's XOS infotainment with a 14.96 inch central screen. ADAS functions in EU markets are progressively unlocked via OTA updates, with feature availability varying per country and regulation. The Xpeng service network in EU markets is still being built up; check the nearest service point at the official dealer. The brand has been on EU markets too short for an extensive ADAC failure statistic, and the residual value curve is not yet stable.
