Strong point is the boot (467 l), larger than on most rivals. The 1.0 TSI delivers 116 hp and returns WLTP 5.5 l/100km; owners report 6.0 to 6.5 l/100km mixed (public forums, not measured by us).
About the Skoda Scala 1.0 TSI (2024)
Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.
The Scala sits between the Fabia and the Octavia on the MQB-A0 platform. The 2023 facelift brought a new nose, LED tail lights and software updates. The boot of 467 litres is large for the C-segment hatchback class (manufacturer figure). The 1.0 TSI three-cylinder delivers 116 hp; a 1.5 TSI version is available higher up the range.
In practice
WLTP is 5.5 l/100km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). Owners report 6.0 to 6.5 l/100km mixed (public forums, n approx 15, not measured by us); on the motorway it runs to the top of that margin. The list price rose indicatively from about 25,490 euro (reference date early 2024) to 26,990 euro now; this is a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.
Points to note
The three-cylinder is audible under firm acceleration (recurring owner point). The interior plastics on the lower trims feel harder than on the Octavia, a visible cost saving. Sales volume in several EU markets is modest, which may affect availability of secondhand examples later on.
