792 km WLTP (manufacturer figure). Owners typically report less in everyday driving, especially in cold weather. See the reviews below.
How much can the Mercedes-Benz CLA tow?
1500 kg braked (with trailer brakes) — the figure that applies when your trailer (such as a caravan) has its own brakes. Manufacturer figure; the exact, binding limit for a specific car is on its registration document.
How long does fast-charging the Mercedes-Benz CLA take (10→80%)?
Roughly 18 minutes on a 320 kW charger (10→80%, factory calculation, indicative). Actual time depends on battery temperature and the charging curve — the car's charging speed drops as the battery fills.

About the Mercedes-Benz CLA (2025)
Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.
The new CLA (internal code C174) is the first model on the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, which is designed to carry both battery-electric and high-voltage hybrid drivetrains on shared hardware. The EV version, the CLA 250+, uses an 800V architecture, a two-speed transmission on the rear motor and silicon-carbide power electronics. A Shooting Brake estate body is sold alongside the sedan in Europe.
In practice
WLTP range for the CLA 250+ is around 792 km with the 85 kWh net battery (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). DC charging peaks around 320 kW under favourable conditions (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). Boot 405 litres in the sedan, with a 101 litre frunk under the bonnet. Braked towing weight 1,500 kg. The indicative German starting price is around 55,858 euro for the CLA 250+, a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.
Points to note
The MMA platform is new; for the first model year long-term reliability is by definition not yet documented. The hybrid (non-EV) variant uses a 1.5-litre turbo with a 22 kW electric motor and sits on the same platform; it is not covered here. The Shooting Brake estate variant has different boot figures and is also not included in this entry.
