In depth
The ECO-G 100 is a factory bi-fuel version: a 1.0 turbo that runs on both LPG and petrol and switches itself. WLTP consumption petrol around 6.0 l/100km (manufacturer figure, indicative), LPG is higher per 100 km at about 7.8 l/100km, the per-litre price of LPG is lower. With two tanks the combined range exceeds 1,000 km according to the manufacturer figure, depending on version and driving style (not measured by us). Boot 472 l is generous for the B-SUV segment.
About the Dacia Duster III ECO-G LPG (2024)
Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.
The ECO-G 100 is the bi-fuel version of the third Duster: a 1.0 turbo with a factory-fitted LPG installation. The car starts on petrol and switches itself to LPG; driving on either tank is possible. The engine shares technology with the Renault/Dacia 1.0 TCe. The Duster is on the CMF-B platform.
In practice
WLTP petrol consumption is around 6.0 l/100km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). In LPG mode consumption per 100 km is higher, indicatively around 7.8 l/100km, while the per-litre price of LPG is lower. Whether that works out cheaper net depends on the daily prices and the annual mileage, that you calculate yourself; we give no cost advice. With the petrol and the LPG tank together the manufacturer states a combined range above 1,000 km, strongly dependent on version and driving style. The indicative list price rose from about 21,390 euro (reference date mid-2024) to 22,490 euro now, a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.
Points to note
Periodic maintenance of the LPG installation is part of this type of drivetrain; the gas tank requires an inspection over time. With earlier Duster generations points around finish and infotainment have been reported in aggregated owner reports (historical, not verified by us). With 100 hp and a braked towing weight of 1,500 kg the Duster ECO-G is no powerhouse at full load. Check the equipment list per level at the official dealer; the entry version lacks a number of assistance systems.
