About the Audi Q6 e-tron (2024)
Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.
The Q6 e-tron is the first Audi on the new PPE platform (Premium Platform Electric), developed together with Porsche. The platform uses an 800V architecture, which makes faster DC charging possible than the MEB platform (Q4 e-tron). Sibling model is the Porsche Macan EV.
In practice
WLTP range is around 625 km with the 94.9 kWh net battery for the rear-wheel drive performance variant (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). DC charging peaks around 270 kW; 10-80% takes about 21 minutes under favourable conditions (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). Owners report winter consumption clearly above the WLTP figure (public forums, early reports, not measured by us). Braked towing weight 2,400 kg, useful for caravans. The indicative starting price rose from about 74,500 euro (reference date mid-2024) to 76,950 euro now, a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.
Points to note
The PPE platform is new; for the first model year the long-term reliability is by definition not yet documented. The HD matrix headlights and the OLED rear lights are standard above a certain trim level; check on the configurator what is standard and what is not. The infotainment uses three screens with mostly touch; whether that works well is a matter of taste, check it on a test drive at the official dealer.
