Who they are

A short write-up on each car, one paragraph apiece. We describe them on their own terms rather than picking a winner.

Profile · III (2024, PureTech 100)

Citroën C3

Third-generation C3 (2024), slightly higher on the wheels than the previous one, on the Smart Car platform. The petrol version is the PureTech 100 (1.2 three-cylinder turbo); WLTP consumption around 5.6 l/100km (manufacturer figure, indicative). Shares the body with the electric ë-C3 (photo). Indicative starting price, check the official configurator for the current figure.

Profile · B 1.2 Turbo (facelift 2023)

Opel Mokka

B-segment crossover on the CMP platform from Stellantis, technically related to the Peugeot 2008 and Peugeot 208. The common petrol is the 1.2 Turbo three-cylinder with 130 hp; below it sits a 100 hp version. The 2023 update mainly refined the Vizor front and the equipment, not the drivetrain. WLTP consumption around 5.8 l/100km (manufacturer figure, indicative); owners report more like 6.5-7 l/100km in mixed use (public forums, not measured by us). Boot 350 l.
