About the Volkswagen T-Roc (2024)
Independent spec and rating reference. No offers, no sales.
The T-Roc has been in production since 2017 and received a facelift in 2022 with a harder interior-finish correction and new driver-assistance systems. The entry engine is the 1.0 TSI three-cylinder with 116 hp. WLTP consumption is 6.2 l/100km (manufacturer figure, not measured by us). Braked towing weight 1,500 kg.
In practice
Boot 445 litres, roomier than an equally priced Golf due to the higher body. The raised seating is the main argument over a hatchback for many buyers. Owners report real-world consumption that, depending on driving style, sits 0.5 to 1.5 l/100km above WLTP (public forums, not measured by us). The indicative list price rose from about 30,490 euro (reference date early 2024) to 31,990 euro now, a starting price, not an offer and not a forecast.
Points to note
The entry engine has 116 hp and no automatic as standard; the DSG and the 1.5 TSI sit on more expensive versions. The pre-facelift T-Roc drew criticism for hard plastics; the 2022 update improved that in part. A successor on an electric basis has been announced, which makes the residual-value estimate of this model year uncertain.
